The Summer Revival Wine Co. serves seasonal food and custom bowls and plates, carefully hand-crafted. Ian Atkins, the owner, makes handmade, all-natural wines that visitors can taste. The menu of summer revival wines and flat-brim wines is expansive and delicious.
A locally-owned small business, the Abby Jane Bake Shop uses heritage, stone-milled flour in all of its products. The bakery can be found within Barton Springs Mill. From sourdough bread, croissants, seasonal treats, and sandwiches to a full coffee, loose-leaf tea, and local beverages menu, it has something for everyone to enjoy.
Hildee’s Dine-In is most easily accessible off the Blue Hole Trail, allowing guests to hike there. Casual, beautiful, and welcoming, the restaurant has a patio area and many food options, each made specially and delicious. The service is friendly and attentive.
With a menu that takes the familiar and refreshes it with creative, international flavors, Tillie’s creates a unique interpretation of traditional foods, leading to a delicious experience. Mazama Coffee carefully chooses the best quality coffee beans from all over the world before roasting them on-site in Dripping Springs. Things to Do
In the heart of hill country, Dripping Springs puts on a Songwriters’ festival, providing a three-day weekend of fantastic singers and songwriters. Attendees get to enjoy new and amazing songs on a small stage. With eight stages and 30 shows a day, around 50 songwriters participate.
Dedicated to creating an interactive, enjoyable learning experience for people of all ages, the Johnson City Science Mill showcases exhibits, programs, and games made of the best technology. It works to inspire students, children, and adults, in addition to giving all guests support, confidence, and tools.
Reimers Ranch provides visitors with a world-class climbing experience for people of all experience levels. Most of the routes are short and technical, and the highest route is 92 feet. Many of the almost 300 routes give people a chance to experience stunning views of the Pedernales River.
A beautiful natural hole full of blue-green water with a 50-foot waterfall, Hamilton Pool was designated a preserve in 1990. It is a popular swimming destination, and visitors can also see the many species of birds, fish, and animals populating the preserve.
Another hill country swimming spot, Jacob’s Well, is a natural spring full of clear water with a diameter of 12 feet. Visitors can take a guided tour or explore on their own any time of year, while the pool is only open for swimming, with reservation, from May through September. Horseback riding and other outdoor activities are also available.
Downtown Wimberly is lined with local stores and unique boutiques for wine, toys, clothing, antiques, and much more. It also provides a vast selection of restaurants and eateries. The downtown area is charming and busy and a great place to shop, eat and socialize.
Schools
